Welcome to The Chiropractic Domain Community and thank you for stopping by. I have had a strong passion to be a Chiropractor since I was 10 years of age. I still get joy and immense measure of pleasure from being part of a person’s healing journey. I love performing adjustments….20 years down the track I still think it is cool!
I grew up in Goodwood, but never expected to own a business here. My Mount Gambier connection is through my husband who was born there.
I commenced my chiropractic studies at the University of Adelaide and completed them at Macquarie University with a Masters in Chiropractic in 1996. I have been a practicing chiropractor since that time and in 1998, opened my own clinics in Mt Barker and Goodwood (formerly known as Stacey Chiropractic). I have since sold her Mt Barker practice and now run Goodwood and Mt Gambier clinics. I served for number of years on the Chiropractor’s Association of Australia (CAA), including a term as State President.
In 2006 I was awarded National Chiropractor of the Year for my work as Program Manager National Healthy Spines Health promotion project www.healthyspines.com.au. I have also been a Telstra Business Awards finalist on three occasions.
I always strive for ways to improve and extend the quality of service offered at the Chiropractic Domain, and keep up to date with technological advances within the chiropractic profession. I have special interest in caring for babies and children and my passion for Chiropractic care for children has only grown since starting a family of my own.
When I’m not at one of the practices I am with my family that includes my daughter and identical twin sons as well as two adult step-children. We are a busy (at time chaotic house hold with a love of water sports, racquet sports and good food. I love when I get the chance to be near on or in the water, diving or swimming. In recently years I have developed a passion for cycling and motorbike
I started working at The Chiropractic Domain during high school in Mount Gambier, but my passion for Chiropractic didn’t explode until I transferred to the Goodwood practice. Upon leaving University I was a practice manager for another Chiropractor for three years, providing me with a new skill set and experiences. When the opportunity arose for me to work full-time at The Chiropractic Domain I was hugely excited and have loved forming connections with the patients, Chiropractors and Chiropractic Assistants in both practices. My favourite part of the role is supporting Dr Paula and Emily in getting optimal results for their patients, especially babies and children.
When I’m not at work you’ll find me at the gym doing dead lifts (and avoiding cardio), at the beach, practicing my music and singing and cooking at home (often simultaneously.)
My hobbies revolve around all things calming with a busy work role; I love tending to my little herb garden and worm farm, singing and doing yoga (especially outdoors).
I started working at The Chiropractic Domain Mt Gambier in January of 2016 and so far my favourite things about being a Chiropractor is learning about people’s stories, seeing people reach their potential by switching on brains and nervous systems, helping people return to activities they love and sharing my knowledge on health and wellness.
I am the eldest of three, born in Colerain and raised in Warrnambool, so I can drive home for the weekends.
When I’m not at work you’ll find me Walking my whippets Zita and Niles, in the kitchen cooking up a gluten free, dairy free, wholefoods storm, reading a recipe or personal development book/ website/ blog, zenning out on a yoga mat.
My favourite thing about being a Chiropractic Assistant is meeting and having face to face contact with so many patients, and watching them improve over their journey. I also enjoy the ongoing learning about your body and health & well being, I also have the benefit of working with such a great team.
When I’m not at work you’ll find me Loving Life! I love to spend as much precious time with my four adorable Grandchildren as possible or in my garden.
I have lived in Mount Gambier all my life. I’m married with two Sons and four grandchildren. I have worked in retail most of my life then started with The Chiropractic Domain in 2010 (the best thing I could have done). I love gardening, camping and recently travelling in our caravan.
I love building relationships with patients when they come into the practice, so being a Chiropractic Assistant is rewarding.
Outside of work I am a Mum to two daughters, Ava and Sienna.
I’ve lived in Mount Gambier all my life, married to Lincoln for 10 years, My hobbies include playing netball for Hobitz, going to the Gym and keeping active, spending time with friends and family and camping. My husband, Lincoln, and I run our own local business; Flatout Jumping Castle Hire.
My favourite thing about being a Chiropractic Assistant is being a part of an environment where we get to help people become better versions of themselves, improving their health and wellbeing.
When I’m not at work you’ll find me teaching yoga and meditation, and being a professional taxi driver for my 2 daughters!!!
I love all things spiritual: Yoga, meditation, reiki and catching up with like-minded people. I also enjoy playing hockey, as does my whole family. Travelling is also a favourite past-time (when the bank balance allows it !!!)
My favourite thing about being a Chiropractic Assistant is meeting the clients and their families and seeing the benefits of Chiropractic Care. I love working with the fantastic team here as well, they all support me to travel regularly. I arrived in Australia in 1981 from the Netherlands and plan to visit my parents and family yearly from now on.
When I’m not at work you’ll find me at the beach, in the garden or looking after my grand-children. I also love to cook, garden, swim and read.
My favourite thing about being a Chiropractic Assistant is seeing the joy on the clients faces after they have had an adjustment one that shows sheer pleasure. The discomfort has gone!!!! Or the look that says l can’t believe l have been feeling so good for so long.
I am from Zimbabwe and we did not have the lovely safe environment as you do here in Adelaide so I love going for walks and love going to the Art galleries and the library to stock up books, catching up with friends, visiting local cafes and restaurants, although I do also like cooking and baking.
